It depends what you want to use the host for. But mostly, I%26#039;d say look for the cheapest one, because there is so little between the big-brand hosts these days. For just a $4-5 a month, you can ge t 100GB of webspace (how much you can store) and 10TB bandwidth (how much data can be transferred, basically). Uptime is an important factor, but most paid hosts will say 99.9% uptime, how true that is, is difficult to say..

Do you need PHP or MySQL? (if you don%26#039;t know what these are, the answer is probably no..)

Be wary of free hosts, as they often put advertising on your site, and its quite common for them to go %26#039;out of business%26#039; within a few weeks or months of launching.. and they%26#039;re not as reliable, and will seldom have the functionality (.e.g MySQL) of paid-for hosting.
