Where can I find a web-based chat program/hosting site that *doesn't* require java, or any down

I%26#039;m looking to host a chat, preferrably free, on the web that does not require downloading or java. Not everyone can afford to spend time DLing programs. All sources should be reputable if it requires money. Please help!

Where can I find a web-based chat program/hosting site that *doesn%26#039;t* require java, or any downloads?

Sorry, I only know about technical aspects.

An older JVM (Java Virtual Machine) by Microsoft is on Your XP cd but not installed or activated by default. Promotional CDs by providers and such often include Sun JVM. Packages of alternative browsers such as Netscape 4.x - 8.1 versions are normally bundled with SUN JVM %26amp; on promotional CDs ( AOL CDs and such ). Keep eyes peeled when visting marts.

Some magazines have attached CDs.

You are right about download with slow line expensive. It will be often cheaper to buy a program CD than using a slow download for anything.

Downloads of dedicated chat/messenegr programs are smaller than JVM. Miranda is just above 1 mb download. MSoft ships messenger program with OS.

thx for reading my post.

p. s. interest communities may offer Chat using script. Look also into usenet, yahoo groups? use Google and Yahoo to find.
